Meet The Councillors

Ripple Parish Council consists of 8 dedicated volunteers who strive to help improve the Ripple Parish Communuty.

Mark Peters

Chairman

I moved to the Parish in June 2019 with my wife Rachel and our three grown up children, after almost 20 years living in Wheatpieces in Tewkesbury.

I’ve always enjoyed supporting my local community and have been both a Town Councillor (Tewkesbury) and Parish Councillor (Wheatpieces) previously.  Ripple is such a friendly and lovely parish that I wanted to get involved.  I wasn’t quite expecting to become the Chair this quickly, but I do have experience, having been Chair for four years at Wheatpieces Parish Council.

I enjoy travelling; my wife and I have travelled far and wide and sport, especially rugby, football and motorsport.

I look forward to getting to know more of you and I hope I can use my energy and experience to make a useful contribution to the local community.

Maggi Davis

Councillor

I was born in Stockton in NE England (Boro Supporter). I moved to Naunton in 2011, having lived in Bromsgrove and Birmingham previously. My in-laws also lived in Holly Green/Ryall for many years giving us an attachment to the area.

Before my retirement, I worked in Pershore as a Middle School teacher specialising in Art and Design. I have also gained a Masters in Art History in recent years.

I run Art workshops, enjoying drawing, painting and printing. Dressmaking and embroidery are my other creative hobbies. Having completed a Couch to 5K course with MHDC I am now running regularly with friends made there; with the Pershore Plum Plodders and I also love Parkrun on Saturdays. I am an Outdoor Visitor Experience Volunteer at Croome Park.

My two children are adults now and I am enjoying my role as Granny to two lovely grandchildren. My husband runs his own business as an electronics designer. I enjoy walks with him in the local area. We also enjoy travelling and city breaks taking in a few galleries on the way!

Matt England

Councillor

My family and I moved to Holly Green in the middle of lockdown 2021.  We didn't know much about our new location when arrived but soon fell in love with both the area and the community.

This is the main reason for joining RPC: to help keep it that way and help the residents have their voice.

I have previously been a school governor but have only recently joined the council so still have a lot to learn but hopeful that I can add value and help our parish flourish.

Paul Turner

Councillor

My wife Lesley and I moved to Ryall in November 2018 with my two children and both wanted to become involved in helping in our local community.

We have enjoyed the peace, tranquillity and pace of life since moving to the parish as we both hold busy full time jobs which involve a lot of travelling across the country.

As well as my role as a Parish Councillor for Ripple I am also Treasurer for Earls Croome with Hill Croome and Strensham Parochial Church Council. We enjoy travelling, going to the theatre, cinema and generally socialising. One of my greatest passions is reading historical and biographical books.

As an ex-rugby player and coach for children I continue to enjoy all forms of sport and the opportunity to get out walking in the community and countryside, especially in my role as grandad to golden retriever Archie when he comes to visit.
